Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the Trackr website, checkout flow, entitlement verification, and desktop app.

Service

Trackr is a macOS desktop activity tracker from Aura Technologies LLC. The app shows active time, idle time, daily timelines, sleep-window exclusions, work history, and shareable progress snapshots from activity measured on your device.

The website provides product information, checkout endpoints, entitlement verification endpoints, and downloads for the desktop app.

Local activity tracking

Trackr requires the operating system permissions needed to measure keyboard and mouse activity while other apps are focused. If those permissions are not granted, tracking may be unavailable or incomplete.

You are responsible for using Trackr in a way that follows the laws, workplace rules, school rules, contracts, and privacy expectations that apply to you and your device.

Purchases and access

Paid access unlocks full tracking, history, and settings on the device connected to the checkout flow. The app uses a device-bound entitlement certificate to validate access.

Checkout is processed by Stripe. Trackr may verify payment status, refresh access, and revoke access when a payment is refunded, disputed, reversed, expired, or otherwise not completed.

Downloads and updates

The Trackr desktop app is distributed through GitHub releases. You are responsible for installing updates when they are made available.

Trackr may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the website, app, release process, or paywall flow.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Trackr, interfere with the website or checkout API, attempt to bypass payment or entitlement checks, reverse engineer signing or entitlement systems except where lawfully permitted, or use Trackr to violate someone else's rights.

Do not use Trackr to monitor another person's activity without any consent or authority required by applicable law or policy.

No guarantees

Trackr is provided as-is and as-available. Activity totals, timelines, idle detection, permissions, updates, checkout status, and history may be affected by operating system behavior, device settings, permissions, bugs, connectivity, or third-party services.

Trackr is a personal productivity tool and should not be the only record used for payroll, billing, legal, compliance, or employment decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Trackr and Aura Technologies LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption arising from use of the app or website.

Where liability cannot be excluded, liability is limited to the amount you paid for Trackr during the twelve months before the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes

These terms may be updated as Trackr changes. Continued use of Trackr after an update means you accept the updated terms.
